If you have a hexagram you'd like to look up,
simply find which three-line icon ~ known as a
'trigram' ~ is topmost (also called upper or outer).
If on a tablet/laptop, look across the list of eight possibilities below until the upper trigram you have intersects with the trigram which is on the bottom (lower or inner) and click on the six-line icon shown, known as a hexagram. It'll take you to the hexagram's own page.
If on a mobile, click on the trigram you have topmost (labelled 'earth above' etc). This will take you to a page where all eight hexagram possibilities are listed. You can then pick yours.
Note on the names of the hexagrams:
While some names here are traditional, others reflect what I more personally feel expresses their essence. Where the theme is challenging, I’ve tried to show the way through in the name, i.e. water over mountain, traditionally named obstruction becomes overcoming obstructions.
This is because the I Ching is all about showing us 'the way through' in order that we can navigate our way out of darkness, difficulty and stagnation, back to the light of living in grace and harmony once more.
Any thoughts? All feedback welcome!
